BUZZ-BUZZ

April 19-22, 2012 we were able to watch Sophie while Kim and Blair treated themselves to a little getaway to Scotsdale, Arizona. What a treat it was for us! It amazingly worked out that I didn't have to work those days!! Kim and Sophie arrived thursday just in time for lunch. First thing Sophie says when she gets out of the car is buzz buzz! Our pear trees were full of blossoms and bees, and they were very loud! Sophie had seen an episode of Mickey where they had talked about the bees... and she called them buzz buzz! She loved it. Kim put her down for a nap and then drove back home to hop on a plane with Blair.

After her nap.. we headed to Logan for my dermatology appointment. We went early so we would have time to visit all my logan work friends. She talked up a storm and charmed them all! When she noticed the Intermountain privacy policy picture of a bull dog she immediately said "Butch"! We then did a little shopping. Found a new sweet smelling lotion at Bath and Body works which she loved the small size and seriously loved it the whole weekend. As we were leaving the store she all of a sudden tuned into the music they were playing and stopped dead in her tracks and started dancing. We were the only ones in the store and we had to hang out and dance for a few minutes. Next we went to Texas Roadhouse to see Auntie Kelle. To keep on schedule we brought her dinner and sat and ate it there. Sophie got hugs, kisses, a puzzle and applesauce from Auntie Kelle too. Papa kept calling us and wanting us to hurry home... Had some fun with Papa, then read stories and went night, night. As long as you read stories and sang songs she went to bed so good. She loved the books that she brought from home, but she got so she loved Clifford as one of her favorites! One that we had at our house.

Friday, we had a  play date with Emma! It was a sunny day, but still a little chilly...we jumped on the tramp. Sophie was very timid at first but then got brave enough to try and jump. Always wanting to hold my hands. We played in the sandbox, both Emma and Sophie not really liking the feel of the sand. They both kept stepping out of the sandbox and brushing off. Next, I got out the play kitchen and they got the dishes out and then put them back in the little cupboards. We saw the cows and the neighbors horses and heard the neighbors dogs! It was a great play date with Emma!!

Giving Emma her birthday present!

I especially loved the "Good morning Nana" every morning! She always woke up so happy! Ready for her yoyo and waffles! We have been so busy that up until today Sophie didn't even know we had a TV. Momma and Dadda thought for sure Sophie would be asking to watch Mickey all of the time. We finally turned it on after breakfast and look at her dance to the music. She was so excited! After breakfast we went out and planted our early spring garden. Sophie got to plant our peas..... of which now have sprouted and are growing wonderfully! I did spread these out or it would have been quite the large pea plant!!! She really got into it!

We had planned to go to Belmont swimming at 3:00 but Sophie decided to sleep 3 hours today and so we didn't make it there until 4:00! As you can tell... Brody, Joce, Emma, Auntie Kelle, Aunt Cathy, Nana, Papa and Sophie all had a very fun filled afternoon. Hardly anyone was there, which made it so nice.

She absolutely LOVED the swing. Did not want to get out of it!

Emma thought she'd better put her hat on to shade herself!

Kisses for Auntie Kelle!!!

She was kind of attached to the horse Sunday morning and I had to put her dress on her while she was going for a ride. She was so good at church. After the sacrament she said "delicious" we were dying. She is talking so much and everyone keeps asking how old she is and can't believe she is only 1 1/2 years old. We took her to our sunbeam class and they loved her. She got a little cranky at the end because she was starving. We gave our kids popcorn for a snack and she ate a whole bag. I wasn't even sure if she could have popcorn! I slipped out and ran home for her lunch and came back to our primary meeting. She ate her whole sandwich and her veggie and felt much better.

One last watch of Mickey before we leave to go to Liz's house to spend the night. I wasn't sure if she was going to let me out of her sight. But she quickly got to playing with her cousins and having a good time with the stroller and babies. Then Liz will take me to the airport to meet Momma Dadda!

I was very sad to say goodbye. We had gotten used to her cute language and I felt like I was on vacation at home. Sophie taught me to stop and take time to smell the roses as they say. We laughed and hugged and were so carefree. I hated to see it come to an end. It will always be a cherished memory! We decided we needed to have the other grandkids for a spend the night. We had so much fun and want to do the same with them. So we are on the calendar for Tag,Maddie and Parker next. Mandy and Cam will go away for a couple days for their anniversary and that will be my next blog.
